We arrived at the hotel at around 11am.. our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait an hour in the foyer. We were very happy with the location of our room and the room itself, although the bathroom was a bit dated. you are given a drink card each when you arrive, you exchange the card for a drink and then have to return your glass every time you want a drink for a fresh one.. then when finished exchange the glass for a card again. Slightly annoying as you can only have 1 drink at a time… even more annoying when the maids take your glass leaving you with none. The swimming pools don’t open until 11am? Found that very strange. Mornings gone by the time you can use any of the pools. We were all inclusive but did run into a couple of issues with the all inclusive.. my 4 year old daughter wanted ice cream from by the kids pool, she was refused on one occasion and was told the reason for this was because the manager had seen her giving ice creams to non all inclusive children. My 4 year old had brought an ice cream for 2 other members in our group, also all inclusive.. she hadn’t given ice cream to anyone else, she hasn’t made any friends or spoken to other children. She’s not that kind anyway lol When I questioned this the staff changed their reason from she was seen to kids in the past have done.. to which I stated had nothing to do with us, if she wants to eat Ice cream that we’ve paid for, she can eat it. We aren’t big drinkers and she’s a picky eater, so if eating ice cream is where we make up on our all inclusive then she can eat ice cream. The only real issue I had with the hotel was the restaurant staff. I found them extremely rude and miserable. There’s a man that collects plates with a trolly, often in the all inclusive area, young, tall with facial hair.. looks at you like he wants to fight you. Constantly trying to stair you out.. someone bumped into him on accident and he dropped a glass.. you could see that ruined his day. Found him trying to stair me out constantly which isn’t something you expect to deal with when on a family holiday. The staff at the entrance that ask your room number were always polite tho. Also, a blonde lady, slim that often works in the pool bar.. very lovely women.. great with the kids.. we liked her. The sun loungers were very uncomfortable.. stuck in one position, can’t lift them.. horrible. The cleaners.. couldn’t fault them. Room was spotless every day, new clean towels every day and pretty sure they changed our bed sheets every day. Was very happy with them. The entertainments team in the evening… they were great with the kids and the disco, it’s just a pity the disco didn’t last a bit longer. Lots of children staying there and would have been nicer if it was aimed at them a little bit more, seemed bingo went on for as long as the kids disco. we were impressed with night acts tho, singers and dancers were great. All in all the hotel was ok.. the room was nice and clean.. the drink car

I go to Benalmádena a couple of times each year,I love the resort, my go to hotel is Medplaya Hotel Bali,stayed here lots of times and it gets better and better with each stay. Latest visit in late May ,booked in immediately by very pleasant reception staff, my twin brother and I were allocated a twin bedded room,a light and airy interior, lots of storage space, flat screen tv, comfortable beds and a nice balcony, fridge in room,rooms cleaned to a very high standard by lovely staff,breakfast was really good, lots of hot and cold dishes ,tea,coffee and juices superb, evening meal was just as good ,again lots of options ,pool area is really good, location could not be better, lots of pubs,bars, cafe's and restaurants close by be it Ibensa Square of Bonanza Square or down Cardiac Hill where there are lots of pubs,bars, cafe's and restaurants along Avenida Antonio Machado, all in all a great eight nights stay in this fabulous hotel ,looking forward to our next stay here in a few months time.
